ACGlobal Marks 15 Years with Philippine Investment Mission to North America and Europe, Calls for Good Governance and Tax Reform

Global tax policy expert Mon Abrea leads international roadshow, launches Why Invest in the Philippines? CREATE MORE Edition, and invites global investors and partners to help build a more competitive Philippines.

“Promote the Philippines Abroad. Reform Government at Home.”

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Celebrating 15 years of championing taxpayers, investment competitiveness, and sound tax policy, Asian Consulting Group (ACGlobal) is taking its Philippine Investment Mission to Canada, the United States, and Europe this fourth quarter of 2026, connecting global investors and business leaders with opportunities in the Philippines while advancing structural reforms to strengthen good governance and economic competitiveness.

Led by Mon Abrea, CPA, MBA, MPA (Harvard), Global Tax Policy Expert and ACGlobal Chief Tax Advisor, the mission will feature the global launch of his book, Why Invest in the Philippines? CREATE MORE Edition, alongside exclusive investment and tax briefings, high-level business engagements, policy roundtables, and free initial tax consultations for foreign investors considering Philippine expansion.

The initiative builds on ACGlobal’s international investment missions and engagements in Asia, Europe, and North America, strengthening collaboration with diplomatic missions, investment promotion agencies, foreign chambers, multinational corporations, and business organizations.

“For 15 years, ACGlobal has worked to make taxation fairer, businesses more competitive, and the Philippines more attractive to investors. As we celebrate this milestone, our mission goes beyond attracting foreign investments. We want to help create the conditions that make investments happen, businesses thrive, and Filipinos prosper,” Abrea said.

“Promote the Philippines abroad. Reform government at home. We cannot achieve one without the other.”

Why invest in the Philippines now?

The international mission comes amid major developments in Philippine investment policy and economic partnerships, creating opportunities for multinational companies seeking to diversify supply chains, establish global capability centers, and expand their presence in Asia.

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) reported ₱297.14 billion in approved investments from January to September 2026, a 92.07% increase from the same period in 2025. These commitments cover 222 new and expansion projects, with approximately 33,300 projected direct jobs.

While investment approvals are not yet realized investments, they underscore the importance of turning investor interest into operating projects, exports, technology transfers, and sustainable employment.

ACGlobal’s international briefings will focus on four strategic developments:

CREATE MORE Act. Republic Act No. 12066 strengthens Philippine investment incentives through income tax holidays, preferential corporate income tax arrangements, enhanced deductions, VAT incentives, and duty exemptions for qualified enterprises.

Luzon Economic Corridor. The Philippines–United States–Japan initiative offers opportunities in infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, transportation, and advanced manufacturing, supported by strategic industrial locations and economic zones.

Pax Silica. The Philippines’ participation in the US-led initiative to strengthen trusted technology supply chains presents emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and the proposed industrial hub in New Clark City.

Free Trade Agreements. The substantial agreement reached in September on the EU–Philippines FTA, alongside ongoing negotiations for bilateral Canada–Philippines and ASEAN–Canada trade agreements, could open new market-access and investment opportunities once the respective agreements are finalized and implemented.

“The Philippines should not compete on tax incentives alone. We must compete on talent, infrastructure, policy certainty, and institutions that investors can trust,” Abrea emphasized.

Philippine Investment Mission: North America and Europe

ACGlobal’s fourth-quarter roadshow will bring Philippine investment opportunities to major global business and financial centers.

EUROPE 🇪🇺🇬🇧 — DECEMBER 2026

The mission will target international investors, multinational companies, global capability center operators, institutional investors, financial institutions, and businesses exploring opportunities in renewable energy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, digital technology, logistics, and global services.

As part of ACGlobal’s 15th anniversary initiative, Abrea will offer free initial tax consultations and investment-entry guidance by appointment to qualified foreign investors evaluating opportunities in the Philippines.

Consultations will cover potential investment structures, available fiscal incentives, economic zone registration, international tax considerations, cross-border transactions, and market-entry requirements.

Promote the Philippines abroad. Reform government at home.

Beyond the international investment mission, ACGlobal is advancing an economic reform agenda grounded in good governance, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sound tax policy.

“Good governance is not merely a political issue. It is economic policy. Corruption, wasteful spending, inefficient bureaucracy, and unpredictable taxation have real economic costs. They weaken investor confidence, increase the burden on taxpayers, and undermine public trust,” Abrea said.

With national government debt reaching ₱19.61 trillion as of August 2026 and inflation accelerating to 7.2% in September, ACGlobal is calling for reforms that strengthen fiscal sustainability, protect household purchasing power, and improve the quality of government spending.

Good governance: Cut waste, strengthen accountability

ACGlobal’s structural reform proposals include:

ACGlobal is also urging stronger coordination of fiscal, monetary, agricultural, trade, and energy policies to address inflationary pressures, reduce logistics and energy costs, strengthen food security, and protect consumers.

“Before asking Filipinos to pay more taxes, government must first demonstrate that it can spend existing revenues responsibly. Cut wasteful spending, prevent corruption, collect taxes efficiently, and borrow prudently,” Abrea said.

“Government must manage inflation and reduce the cost of living—not simply ask workers to sacrifice more while inefficient spending continues.”

Sound tax policy: Collect better before taxing more

ACGlobal is also advocating reforms to modernize tax administration, improve revenue efficiency, empower Filipino workers, and protect legitimate businesses.

Its proposals include:

“The answer to every budget deficit cannot always be another tax. We must collect better, spend smarter, and grow the economy faster,” Abrea said.

“We need more investments and better-paying jobs, not higher taxes and more borrowing to finance unnecessary spending.”

Global book launch: Why Invest in the Philippines?

A centerpiece of the international mission is the global launch of Why Invest in the Philippines? CREATE MORE Edition, a practical guide for multinational companies, foreign investors, and international business leaders evaluating opportunities in the Philippines.

The book discusses investment incentives, corporate taxation, business regulations, and the reforms needed to strengthen the Philippines’ competitiveness as a strategic investment hub in Asia.

Beyond the publication, Abrea hopes to engage international investors, business leaders, academics, and policymakers in evidence-based discussions on tax reform, good governance, economic development, and investment policy.

“The real measure of success is not how many investment forums we organize or how many commitments we announce. It is how many investments become operating businesses, how many quality jobs we create, and how many Filipino enterprises benefit.”

ACGlobal invites global investors, strategic partners, and sponsors

As it celebrates 15 years, ACGlobal is inviting embassies, foreign chambers of commerce, multinational corporations, financial institutions, investment funds, economic zone developers, universities, think tanks, professional organizations, and international business associations to participate in and support its North American and European missions.

The firm welcomes institutional partners and corporate sponsors interested in co-hosting exclusive investment and tax briefings, facilitating high-level business meetings, supporting the global book launch, and collaborating on research, public policy, and investment promotion initiatives.

ACGlobal also welcomes international and Philippine media organizations, business journalists, and economic commentators interested in covering the investment missions, interviewing Abrea, and participating in discussions on Philippine competitiveness, tax incentives, fiscal policy, and governance reforms.

Partnerships will focus on generating qualified investor engagements, meaningful institutional relationships, and concrete business opportunities.

“Governance is a shared responsibility. Government must deliver reforms, businesses must uphold integrity, and professionals and investors must help build a more competitive and accountable economy.”

Abrea concluded:

“The Philippines can be more investor-friendly without weakening local enterprise, more fiscally responsible without overburdening compliant taxpayers, and more globally competitive by building institutions that people and investors can trust.”

PROMOTE THE PHILIPPINES ABROAD. REFORM GOVERNMENT AT HOME.

GOOD GOVERNANCE IS ECONOMIC POLICY.

MORE PAY. MORE INVESTMENTS. BETTER GOVERNMENT.

Let’s MAKE IT HAPPEN IN THE PHILIPPINES!
