MANILA, Philippines — Asian Consulting Group (ACGlobal) is advancing a series of international engagements from September to November 2026, connecting business leaders, investors and policy stakeholders around a shared agenda: competitive economies, effective tax policy and accountable governance.
Led by Mon Abrea, CPA, MBA, MPA (Harvard), Global Tax Policy Expert and Chief Tax Advisor, ACGlobal will bring its advocacy to a major Philippine industry summit, an Asia-Pacific public health congress and investment missions across Canada, the United States and Europe.
“Investment follows confidence—and confidence depends on clear rules, strong institutions and credible leadership,” Abrea said. “We want to build partnerships that translate global expertise into investment, jobs and better outcomes for communities.”
Strengthening the Philippines’ global competitiveness
On September 23, at 6 p.m. at Okada Manila, Abrea will join Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno and IBPAP President and CEO-Designate Celeste Ilagan for the Government Regulations and Ease of Doing Business Fireside Chat at the 18th International IT-BPM Summit.
With the theme “Intelligence at Scale: Accelerating the PH Pivot,” the summit addresses the Philippines’ transition toward AI-enabled global services. ACGlobal will emphasize how predictable taxation, efficient regulation and consistent implementation can strengthen investor confidence and help businesses expand.
“World-class talent deserves world-class governance,” Abrea said. “The Philippines must make it easier for businesses to invest, innovate and create quality jobs.”
Connecting taxation with public health outcomes
From October 9 to 11, ACGlobal will participate in the 1st Congress of the Asia-Pacific Society of Harm Reduction and Addiction at the Sapporo Convention Center in Hokkaido, Japan, contributing a tax policy perspective to discussions on harm reduction and addiction.
ACGlobal’s participation will focus on how fiscal policy can support public health goals, with attention to evidence, affordability, access to treatment and transparent use of revenues.
“When public health is the justification for a tax, better health must be the measure of success,” Abrea said. “The questions are clear: Who bears the cost, what outcomes improve, and where does the money go?”
Opening doors to investment and international partnerships
In October and November, ACGlobal’s Philippines Investment Mission in Canada, the United States and Europe will feature investment and tax briefings, policy dialogues and the global launch of Why Invest in the Philippines? CREATE MORE Edition.
Planned destinations include Toronto, Washington, D.C., New York, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and key European cities. The mission will connect prospective investors and international partners with insights into Philippine market opportunities, tax policy and the business environment.
ACGlobal invites international business organizations, investment institutions, academic and policy organizations, and corporate sponsors to collaborate on briefings, co-host dialogues, support research and publications, and expand the reach of the investment mission.
“Promote the Philippines abroad. Reform government at home,” Abrea said. “We invite partners who share our commitment to turning opportunity into lasting economic and social value.”
