Right after taking its advocacy to Dubai, Singapore, US, and Korea, the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines brought the Balik Ka, Kabayan program to Tokyo, Japan on November 2.
But this time, CSR Philippines brought one of its celebrity partners, Bea Binene!
Outside of the limelight, Bea is an entrepreneur, and she came to inspire and encourage other Filipinos in line with the goals of the Balik Ka, Kabayan!
To successfully launch the event, CSR Philippines has partnered with the Philippine Embassy, the Department of Trade and Industry’s Philippine Trade and Investment Center, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and the Asian Consulting Group.
CSR Philippines began the program by meeting with the officials of the Philippine Embassy. Among those officials were Special Trade Representative Dita Angara-Mathay, Labor Attache Marie Rose Escalada, Commercial Attache Kenneth Yap.
CSR Philippines’ Celebrity Ambassador Bea Binene joined the Balik Ka, Kabayan as one of the attendees as well. The young actress-entrepreneur has been part of other CSR Philippines initiative, such as acting as a speaker at the Tax Hub Talks.
“Bakit ako nag-tayo ng business? Kasi hindi habang buhay may showbiz,” said the young actress.
This issue is true not only for show business, but also for every other industry, which is why CSR Philippines encourages OFWs to start their own businesses and guides them how to do so through the Balik Ka, Kabayan program.
During the seminar, the tax expert discussed starting a business, the ease of doing business, and tax on investments.
Already, the Balik Ka, Kabayan has been conducted in several other countries over the year, such as in UAE, Singapore, US, and Korea. On December, CSR Philippines plans to launch the next stop of its international advocacy tour in Madrid, Spain.
“Sabi nga din ng partner ko sa Balik Ka, Kabayan na si Salve, kung gusto mo’ng yumaman, dapat specific!” said the CSR Philippines Founder Mon Abrea. “Kung hindi, malabo mo makakamit ‘yang pangarap mo.”So, if you want to join us as we continue our international advocacy tour, or if you’re simply interested in any of our programs, come be our partner and contact us at [email protected] or (+63) 917 626 6049.
