ACG Vice President James Reid and Founding Chairman Mon Abrea Leads Firm’s Digital Transformation Initiatives

The Asian Consulting Group goes full techie as it partners with Digiteer to develop its planned innovations for tax compliance. On October 23, Wednesday, ACG officially signed an agreement with Digiteer, Inc. at the ACG Tax Hub, 9F The Ignacia Place, Quezon City.

Announced at its 8th anniversary, ACG will continue its digital transformation and develop both computer and mobile applications for different sectors of the taxpaying public.

Foremost among these innovations is the TaxWhizPH Mobile App. As part of its recent partnership, Digiteer will handle the development of the TaxWhizPH Mobile App – a mobile software for filing tax returns and paying taxes.

ACG also plans to develop a software exclusive to its clients to improve their service and another software, open to the public, that will allow them to handle their own tax planning.

Representing ACG during the signing are Vice President James Reid and Founding Chairman Mon Abrea. The tech company Digiteer is represented by its Head of Operations, Fatima Yambao, and Head of Technology, Nicole Bernabe.

Patch Dulay, the founder of Spark Project and ACG’s IT Consultant for the transaction, was also present at the signing.

In pursuing these developments, ACG has acquired the help of Overmind Corp. in promoting these apps. Overmind will also play a crucial role in the company’s planned YouTube channel which it will be launching soon.

Leading these arrangements is the recently-elected Vice President of the Asian Consulting Group, James Reid. Elected at ACG’s Board Meeting last October 7, the young celebrity has already taken to his role as the face of ACG’s digital transformation.

Continuing its tech theme, ACG has invited experts on Financial Technology for its Tax Hub Talks on November 5, Tuesday. With the topic Blockchain Technology and Digital Transformation, ACG has invited Mr. Henry Aguda, Chief Technology Officer of Unionbank, and Atty. Lanee David, Deputy Commissioner for the Information Systems Group of the BIR, as speakers.

Attending as panelists at the Tax Hub Talks are Assistant Secretary Mary Jean T. Pacheco, Competitiveness and Innovations Group of the DTI, and Ms. Amor Maclang, Executive Director of FinTech Philippines Association.
