Tuguegarao, the Gateway to the Ilocandia and the Cordilleras, is the latest destination of the Asian Consulting Group’s Tax Hub Talks. Led by ACG Founding Chairman Mon Abrea, the Tax Hub Talks was held at Villa Blanca Hotel, Tuguegarao on Tuesday, September 3 from 7 AM to 10:30 AM.
The seminar covered the tax amnesty and helped small business owners learn how to save more on taxes. The event is part of the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines’ Tax Amnesty Roadshow. Previous destinations of the Tax Amnesty Roadshow include ACG’s satellite offices in Vigan, Laguna, Albay, Bacolod, and Puerto Princesa.
To start off the Tax Amnesty Roadshow, the Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea paid a courtesy visit to BIR Regional Direct Clavelina Nacar. As an initiative to guide taxpayers, the Tax Amnesty Roadshow is supported by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Similarly, the Tax Hub Talks is an extension of ACG’s advocacy of educating taxpayers. Aside from holding the Tax Hub Talks at its satellite offices, ACG also conducts the seminar at its main office in Quezon City.
Unlike what its name implies, the Tax Hub Talks also features topics beyond that of taxes. Each topic is tailored toward helping starting entrepreneurs improve their business. Among the non-tax topics held during the Tax Hub Talks include starting a business and personal finance. On October 11, the Tax Hub Talks will tackle Blockchain technology and how businesses can apply it to their operations. The Asian Consulting Group’s publication, “Iwas Buwis-it: What To Do When Tax Attacks” was also available for purchase at the event. A casual read, the tax book gives taxpayers an overview of taxes while remaining easy to understand.
