DTI, BIR supports “Iwas Buwis-it: What to Do When Tax Attacks”

“A lot of people are afraid of taxes, but whether we like it or not, we have to pay taxes,” said ACG Founding Chairman Mon Abrea.

Answering this need, the Asian Consulting Group has launched its latest tax publication, “Iwas Buwis-it: What to Do When Tax Attacks” on July 2019. The publication aims to demystify the topic by discussing the taxes a person experiences in their everyday life.

DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, present at the launch of the tax publication, recognized the book as a way for taxpayers to stop being afraid of taxes.

Similarly, BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay delivered a toast at the Grand Press Launch, noting how the book will help inform taxpayers of their contribution to the government’s projects.

“Iwas Buwis-it: What to Do When Tax Attacks” is neither an academic book nor a tax handbook. It does not provide too in-depth or technical a view into tax principles. What it does do instead is provide simple, lighthearted, and casual descriptions of taxes so that they are easier to understand.

The Asian Consulting Group offers various packages, including a discounted package for business organizations.

The tax publication is also not the only way ACG promotes tax education.

Through its satellite offices in Albay, Vigan, Palawan, Bacolod and Laguna, ACG extends the Tax Hub Talks series. Most recently, it has partnered with the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines’ Tax Amnesty Roadshow to help taxpayers learn how to settle their BIR cases without compromises.

Through the Tax Amnesty Roadshow, the Tax Hub Talks will also be brought to Tuguegarao on September 3-4.

In further pursuit of tax education, the Tax Whiz Academy also conducts other seminars for business organizations and consultations for business owners. For more information about the Iwas Buwis-it packages or the seminars, contact us at [email protected] or (02) 622-7720.
