Tax Hub Talks: Taking A Vacation from Tax Liabilities in Puerto Princesa!

The tax amnesty is one of the rare times taxpayers can be freed from their tax liabilities. The Asian Consulting Group brought the Tax Hub Talks on June 28-30 to Puerto Princesa to teach taxpayers exactly that.

This program is part of the Tax Amnesty Roadshow organized by the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines. With the support of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Tax Amnesty Roadshow guides taxpayers how to avail the tax amnesty.

But for ACG, it’s not just about promoting the tax amnesty. ACG’s main aim is to help taxpayers settle their liabilities in the most optimal way.

According to ACG Founding Chairman Mon Abrea, the tax amnesty is not the only way to settle outstanding liabilities. There is still protesting the assessment, requesting a compromise settlement, applying for abatement of penalties, and others.

Through a small discussion, ACG brings more focus and depth to the topic. The Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea guided these taxpayers on whether they should or shouldn’t avail the tax amnesty. Should the amnesty be suboptimal, other options are still available, according to the tax expert.

The tax expert discussed the tax amnesty on delinquencies, the estate tax amnesty, and tax saving schemes taxpayers can avail.

By educating taxpayers, ACG aims to help the attendees not just with their existing cases or concerns. With more educated taxpayers comes an increase in taxpayers who can avoid incurring unnecessary penalties and compromises.

To extend this advocacy throughout the country, the Asian Consulting Group extends its Tax Hub Talks series to its satellite offices. Prior to its visit in Puerto Princesa, the Asian Consulting Group launched the Tax Hub Talks in Vigan and Bacolod.

On July 9, the Tax Hub Talks will be stopping by in Laguna. For the month of July, ACG will also be launching it in Bacolod (July 18-19), Cebu (July 20-22), and Pampanga (July 26).
