The Founding President of the Asian Consulting Group attended the launch of the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s eTSPCert System. The event was held at Fairmont Makati on December 6, 2018.
The key to broadening the taxpayer base is making sure that filing and paying taxes is easy and simple. One way to do this, as other countries’ tax administrations have done, is to implement electronic filing systems.
The Electronic Tax Software Providers Certification (eTSPCert) system will encourage the development of applications that make tax compliance better. By delegating the creation of online filing apps to third parties, taxpayers will have more channels to choose from.
This initiative is sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and its e-PESO project. The eTSPCert system was developed to improve the taxpayer’s experience when it came to preparing, filing, and paying their taxes.
This is a welcome development for the TaxWhizPH mobile app, a game-changing mobile software that will allow filing and payment of taxes anytime and anywhere.
The Tax Whiz PH app will be linked to the BIR’s eBIRForms platform for the filing of returns and other tax forms. As for the payment of tax liabilities, the app will be linked to partner Authorized Agent Banks.
By scanning receipts, the app will also be able to automatically fill in the details necessary in all tax filings. It will also automatically calculate your tax liabilities, removing the chance of human error.
Simply by selecting the type of tax you need to pay, the app will provide the relevant BIR forms, with no need for you to memorize them all.
Its built-in tax calendar will warn its users of impending deadlines which will mitigate failed compliance. With a simple app, taxpayers will be able to avoid expensive fines and needless worries.
