The Nationwide Tax Roadshow headed to Bulacan on October 30, Tuesday. Led by the Philippine Tax Whiz, the tax seminar was held at the Bulacan Negosyo Center. The event was held in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines (CSR Philippines).
The seminar comprised of a discussion about the ongoing tax reform, mainly its first package. While constantly in the headlines, news about the tax reform revolves around its unintended inflationary impact. However, with the right guidance, businesses can take advantage of the ongoing tax reform and earn more in the process.
Also included in the discussion were the Go Negosyo Act, Ease of Doing Business Act, and the Barangay Micro Businesses Act.
As part of its initiatives, the Asian Consulting Group promotes tax education throughout the country. Lack of tax education is a leading cause in failed compliance which will, in turn, lead to unnecessary penalties.
After the seminar, the Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea attended local media interviews with Ronda Balita and the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He also answered to a phone patch interview for DWIZ 882’s In the Heart of Business.
As a prominent tax advocate, he was asked about the impact of the ongoing tax reform and its lasting impact.
