The Asian Consulting Group and Tax Whiz Academy conducted a tax coaching at the National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO) on October 10, Wednesday. The event was done in partnership with the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines (CSR Philippines). The seminar is aimed toward encouraging Overseas Filipino Workers to invest in their future by starting their own businesses.
The tax coaching presented the attendees with basic taxation and relevant legislation that affect doing business in the country. The first part of the seminar contained a discussion on business registration for aspiring entrepreneurs. The second part focused on taxes and recent changes such as TRAIN Law and its implementing rules and regulations. Other discussed legislations are the Go Negosyo Act, the Ease of Doing Business Act, and the Barangay Micro Business Enterprises Act.
Leading the event is one of ACG’s tax experts, Allen Gautier, CPA. Experienced in the field of accounting and taxation, he has previously conducted tax coaching, financial management seminars, and tax consultations for several industries.
ACG has also previously held seminars for the NRCO in the past years.
As part of its mission, ACG recognizes small and medium enterprises as catalysts of economic growth. The social enterprise continues to promote this advocacy (and more) through its Tax Whiz Academy program.
This is also not the first time ACG provided lectures for OFWs. Last August, ACG conducted its tax roadshow in Singapore, providing OFWs a seminar on starting a business in the Philippines.
As a step toward its vision, ACG has recently opened the Philippines’ first Tax Hub. In its Tax Hub, concerned taxpayers can drop by for a tax consultation or a tax seminar. ACG’s tax experts can provide answers on how to properly prepare for BIR Audit.
Under the Tax Whiz Academy program, ACG offers seminars for business organizations with a focus on the ongoing tax reform. For more tailored needs, ACG’s tax experts can also conduct Executive Tax Briefing (ETB) and Exclusive Tax Coaching (ETC).
An Exclusive Tax Coaching provides businesses with ways to take advantage of taxes, ensuring an interactive discussion that will answer all the attendee’s questions.
Executive Tax Briefings are modified to the needs of business owners and present strategies and business decisions that will improve their profits.
