Tax Awareness Month

Do you know that the month of April was declared as Tax Awareness Month (TAM) by virtue of Proclamation No. 812, s. 2005? This underscores the value of taxes in nation building. The Proclamation’s scope may have not extended to the succeeding years, but the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines (CSR Philippines) deems it necessary to continue celebrating Tax Awareness Month, especially because April 15 is the deadline for filing of annual income tax returns (ITR).
In view of this, CSR Philippines in partnership with the Bureau of Internal Revenue
(BIR) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) continues to help our micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to pay their taxes correctly. After the release of TAX KOMIKS which are now being distributed for free in all DTI Negosyo Centers nationwide, we are launching another publication on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 together with Commissioner Billy Dulay and Board of Trustees of CSR Philippines. This is the TAX GUIDE for Small Businesses which will be available in all BIR offices to help our taxpayers especially the first time taxpayers file their tax returns.
To further assist taxpayers who will be filing their ITRs for the first time, and for all other SMEs and professionals, in partnership with the Abrea Consulting Group (ACG), an ITR HELPDESK has been setup free of charge which will run until April 17, 2017. For reservation, email us at [email protected] or call (02) 6227720.
