Tax advocate to OFWs: Time to go home

Filipinos are Filipinos, wherever they chose to be in for the sake of their family’s sustenance. But the “Bagong Bayani,” of course, would serve the country better—and would have closer ties with their families—should they decide to build their lives on home soil.

This was what The Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea and CSR Philippines had in mind when they met with our overseas countrymen during the “Tax Me, Tax Me Not” seminar in Singapore, organized by The Global Filipino Investors-Singapore Chapter on Feb. 4, 2017.

CSR Philippines discussed a positive take on tax reform, particularly the proposed new Philippine Tax System, in an effort to urge OFW attendees to return and do business at home. We empowered the audience to do such by imparting good news on the business sector in the country, as well as offering a tax-free lifestyle—a lifestyle not free from taxes but free from the unnecessary burden of deficiency taxes, penalties and compromises—through the Seal of Honesty (SOH) Certification Program.
